Personal Care

Personal Care

Dreams Alive Care has been supporting people with disabilities for many years. We aim to help you and your loved one live a full life, which is why we offer Personal Care services.

Personal Care is the support you can receive from a care provider to help you do everyday activities, such as getting dressed or eating. You may receive personal care if:

  • You have a disability or illness that affects your ability to do things
  • You need help with personal hygiene, like showering and dressing
  • You need help with other daily tasks, like cooking and cleaning.

If you are eligible for personal care funding, you will be provided with a Personal Care Plan that describes how your support provider will help you with your daily activities and what they will do on a day-to-day basis. This plan is developed in consultation with the participant and their family members, friends or carers, if applicable. The plan will be tailored to meet each participant’s individual needs so that it can be as flexible as possible.
